Bathing Your Baby
Your baby needs the sponge baths at the beginning. Give to your baby a sponge bath until its umbilical cord or its circumcision, if necessary, is healed. After this, your baby can have a tub bath.
Fill basin or bowl with warm water: Use your wrist or the elbow to check water to ensure itself it is right the good temperature. Be sure that water is not either cold or too heat. Very hot water can be dangerous.
Take the basin of warm water and a soft washcloth at the place where you will bathe your baby.
Select a place to bathe that is warm and not with draughts. You do not want that your baby to get chilled. You can put your baby on a bath towel in his crib or any other flat surface. If you put your baby on a table, make sure that it cannot fall. Not to leave your baby alone, not even during a few seconds.
Remove clothing of your baby. Put the washcloth in warm water and tighten it outside until it is moisture right. Employ the washcloth to wipe gently your baby everywhere. Wipe his head and neck, behind his ears, and between his fingers and toes. Your new-born baby does not need to have a daily bath. Just clean her face, neck and diaper area whenever they are dirty.
