Baby formula stolen from Shaw’s, Why?

I read the news about baby formula below:

Police say a man robbed a large quantity of baby formula from a Shaw’s Supermarket on Wednesday before fleeing in a car reported stolen from Manchester.

The man stole about 23 cans of Nestle Good Start formula, valued at $12.99 per can.

Police describe the man as a white male, about 5-foot-10, with a buzz cut and goatee. He was alone and was wearing a red and gray plaid shirt and a hooded sweatshirt at the time.

The man left the Shaw’s on D’Amante Drive about 6:50 p.m. After being confronted by store security personnel, he left in a dark-colored Ford Taurus.Within about 10 minutes, a Concord police officer located the suspect vehicle as it left Interstate 93 at Exit 12. The officer attempted to stop the driver, and the vehicle initially stopped on South Main Street before fleeing south on South Main Street. (News Source)

My question in my head is, Why he stole that baby formula? For his baby milk need? Or he will sell the formula and keep the money in his own pocket? 23 cans of milk multiply to $ 12.99 is
$298.77. Whoops, I think he will keep the money, If you see the thief please tell to the Police.
