How to Treat Baby Yeast Infection
Diapers are used for babies to stop excreted material of baby from falling down. These diapers are not easy for babies to wear. They are closed from all sides to prevent excretion leakage. Rashes are formed on bottom of baby if diaper is allowed to stay on his body for long time. Sometimes babies get infected by yeast if diapers stay moist for long duration. Rashes formed on bottom of a baby go away after a period of time. Sometimes these rashes become extreme and baby gets infected. Rashes formed by diaper can take 3-4 days to get healed. Only thing you should do to clean them is use a diaper cream. If you don’t apply a cream to your baby before putting on a diaper, baby can get yeast infection.

Baby Yeast infection makes rashes look dark, and brings pus in them. Yeast infection can spread easily to other parts of body. Before it spreads on body you should take steps for curing it. You should use an anti fungal cream for baby. Antifungal cream consists of an ingredient called miconazole. This ingredient prevents infection from spreading to other parts. Sometimes antifungal creams fail to stop yeast infection. When they don’t show any reaction for 2-3 days you should stop their usage. Using them further can cause allergy to baby.
To stop baby yeast infection from spreading to further body parts, you should follow natural remedies. Natural remedies include natural oils, baby lotions and herbal bath. One basic way to treat yeast infection is to allow air to touch bottom of baby. Moist diaper area can allow yeast to grow, so you should stop using diapers when you see rashes on bottom of baby. Before changing to next diaper you should allow baby to be free for some time. He should be left in open air. Diaper should not be tied tightly to his bottom. It should be left free to prevent heat tapping.
Sometimes yeast rashes are formed because of breast feeding of mother. Yeast infection can spread through milk of mother. Using antibiotics at the time of giving milk to baby can induce problems in baby. Antibiotics can destroy good bacteria required for growth of baby. They can infect milk and cause infection. Yeast infection can spread from mother to baby. If mother is having yeast infection she should stop giving milk to her baby. Giving milk to a baby at the time of yeast infection can damage baby’s immune system.
It is better to take suggestions of a good child pediatrician to cure yeast infection. Doctors check seriousness of this infection and give proper treatment. Diaper area should be kept clean all the time. Baby herbal soap or shampoo should be used at the time of cleaning a baby. Herbal products are safe to use, and they do not induce any side affects. Infected areas of child from yeast infection should be cleaned gently using cotton. Rubbing harshly on bottom parts of baby can cause pain. Washing your child regularly after every bowel movement can prevent yeast formation and the best way to get rid of baby yeast infection.
