Fisher Price Product Recalls
At Fisher Price in order to keep consumers safe, regular checks are carried out on all of their products. If the product is found to be unsafe then it is immediately recalled, meaning anyone who bought the products is entitled to a full refund. Although it doesn’t happen all the time, it is something that goes on now and again and below are some various product recalls that Fisher Price have had in the past.
Learning Pots & Pans Recall
The learning pots and pans set is a collection of stacking pots and pans, meant to be for children to play with. A key safety measure was overlooked, as the screws in the centre of the model can potentially become loose, thus collapsing the inner ring and letting a lot of small ball bearings out which can potentially be a chocking hazard. For this reason they recalled the product.
Go Diego Go Animal Rescue Boat
The Go Diego Go product is a toy which can go in the bath and is a boat and a whale for children to play with. Fisher Price had been found to be using illegal amounts of lead in the paint, and thus called the recall. This is a particularly serious case, as if lead comes in contact with humans, there is a possible risk of death in the most serious cases.
Barbie Accessory Sets
Similar to the go Diego Go Animal rescue Boat, the Barbie accessory set was found to be using an illegal amount of lead in the painting of the house. Again, this could prove to be a fatality if it came into contact with a human and they had a bad reaction or swallowed some of the paint.
Only a small number of product recalls from Fisher Price have been shown, but it shows that Fisher Price keep up to date with their products and if they find a possible fault they do not pretend not to notice it, they pull them straight out allowing consumers to stay safe.
