Chores are often bothersome to children. But, these same chores can help them become more responsible and develop a sense of self worth. For them to grasp the importance of these tasks, all family members should understand that chores are necessary. By teaching everyone that they are expected to run a household as successfully and efficiently as possible, you create a sense of unity that will help your child appreciate teamwork within the family.

Be sure to take care when delegating chores to children. Doing so thoughtlessly can lead to frustration and arguments. Let your child participate in delegating chores and picking the ones he will do himself. Everyone has chores they hate to do, and you will probably have to hand some of these to your child at certain points. Counter this by also allowing them to find which chores they actually have fun at, and giving them the chance to choose to do those things. If your child has a voice in the matter, he will feel appreciated and be more willing to help.

From the beginning, make sure you establish what makes up doing a chore successfully. When a child first starts to attempt a chore, chances are he will not be able to do it as well as possible. Gently guide them to see where they can make improvements while also praising them for what they do well. However, if a child is putting forth only the least amount of effort, be firm enough that they realize there will be consequences if they keep up this behavior.

Make sure your child grasps why chores are necessary and sees the good that comes out of completing them. If teamwork is lacking, make sure there are consequences to everyone in the group. Your child needs to realize that if they choose not to do chores properly, everyone else will be affected as well. Encourage them to do their part on behalf of the group.

With your spouse, set an example by doing your own chores completely each day. Don’t let your children overpower you through battles over chores they don’t want to do. Stand your ground and make them realize the variety of negative consequences that come with not doing chores and how these affect others. Still, above all you should keep an open mind. Let your child express his opinions on chores, making sure to keep the conversation as focused and positive as possible.

Kids in the house can be enticed to participate in the chores, and you need not suffer through the drudgery of house work if you attack it with a sense of fun. Please kindly use my tips on how to make household Chores Fun for kids below:

First, determine the cleaning tasks that need to be done. Washing the dishes? Cleaning the sink? Making the pots and pans look like new? Rate the tasks from easy to hard, then get the kids (or anybody willing) involved.

One option: Assign the jobs. Make the household chores attractive to the kids by making a chart made of colored paper, or using colored art pens on white paper and writing each kid’s name opposite the job to be done. Kids will feel like they are playing in school and will take up the assignments with gusto!

Or better yet, you can write down the tasks on slips of paper, fold them up, place them in a bowl, and make each child choose a folded paper to find out which task goes to whom. Even adults will have fun doing this nice program for your next pajama party, or in student dorms or boarding houses.

If you have enough time, you can list the household chores the night before and tack them on the kitchen wall of the refrigerator door. In the morning, the first kid who wakes up – or the first pal to arrive – gets to pick the easiest chore. Afterwards, reward everybody with candy or little teats like pencils or pony tail holders, etc.

If your helpers are not little, but grown ups just like you – or worse – if you have got no helpers at all – you can still make the cleaning job a positive experience by trying any of these cool moves:

•	Put on your favorite music CD on the player and play it loud while you are doing your kitchen or bathroom must-dos. It will get you in the mood in no time.

•	Give yourself a deadline by setting the alarm to 30 minutes or one hour after you start the task. If you finish on time, or ahead of time, reward yourself afterwards with an ice cold glass of juice or some pizza. Make a date to see a movie. Buy some rice item you have always wanted from the mail or the neighborhood convenience store.

•	After the task, you can give yourself a nice manicure. Or just pamper your hands with a luxurious hand lotion when you are through. There is a lot of fun things you can do while working.

Many parents are wondering what is the best age to start potty training their child. A child should feel comfortable when sitting on the potty and using the bathroom instead on continuously using the potty in their diaper. There are many steps that you should take into consideration when potty training your child. Make sure that they are able to have full balance of themselves before attempting to potty train your child. Potty training can become very messy at times because children like to play in it and smear it everywhere. But, at the same time your child is becoming potty trained.

Children should be able to walk and stand by themselves while maintaining their own balance and weight before trying to use the potty on their own. Parents that are trying to potty train their infants may try sitting them on the potty before giving their child a bath and before going to bed. If your child is trying to remove their diaper themselves then you should see what they do. Your child may try to pull you towards the potty or show you other signs when they are ready. Does your child come to you when he/she has a dirty diaper? If your child is letting you know that they have used the bathroom in their diaper then it is time to potty train them. When a child is ready to use the potty on their own, they will let you know.

Some children are afraid of the potty because of the water and the sound when using the potty. If your child becomes afraid to use the potty try to comfort them. Take them to the bathroom with you and show your child that there is nothing to be afraid of. You may also try giving your child something to drink before going to bed. Never try to force your child to use the potty because this may make the process slower and will take longer.

Some children take longer to use a potty chair because they never had an experience with it before. Some children are afraid of the sounds that the water makes when using the potty chair and because of how deep the water is. Toddlers will need to take time to adjust when using the bathroom in other places other than their diaper.

Other children may use the potty chair with no problem. Some toddlers are interested in what the potty chair is and how to use it. You will need to show your infant how to sit on the potty chair, wipe and flush the regular toilet to make sure that they know how to use the potty at all. You may teach your child on how to use the potty by showing them how to use it once or twice a day, until your child feels ready to use the potty more often. In the meantime, you may use pull ups on your child since you are now in the process of having your toddler potty trained.

Babies are the most important thing in any parents life. You brought them into the world to love and protect them. Along the way there will be good times and bad times but you can give your child the best start in life. Babies can bring a lot of joy into any person’s life and I can guarantee no one would change their child for the world. When we have children we have to take extra special care of them and teach them how to walk and talk. When they get a little older you will see them gain more independence as each day comes they will start to do little things for themselves. How exciting is it when you hear them say their first words and their first word is you mama or dada. From that day onwards they will progress and start to add more words to their vocabulary. If you want your child to have the best start in life then you can help them significantly by teaching your baby how to read.

How to teach your baby to read?

It doesn’t matter how young your baby is a bed time story can make so much difference in their lives. When they begin to take a little more notice of their surroundings then you can start having a storey time. Picture books are great to start off with to teach your baby to read. The pictures are interesting to a small child and as they begin to get used to the storey they will begin to explain what exactly the storey is about.

There are so many books that are suitable for babies and toddlers and the younger they are when you start to teaching to read with them the more love they will have for books when they are older. Baby’s often start with sounds in their vocabulary so to start off why not invest in a book that makes different sounds or one that has different textures. When they begin to get the hang of talking you could then introduce picture cards and letter cards to help them become more familiar with the alphabet. Once a child knows their ABC’s and 123’s there’s no stopping them. Reading to your child from an early age also helps to bring on their speech and vocabulary.

When they get to the age of a toddler you should then let them read to you if they can’t read a lot of words then get them to describe the pictures of the book. Before long they will become familiar with a storey and will be able to read it themselves.
This is also way to create a special bond between parent and child even if it’s one storey during the day every little helps. By doing this with your child on a regular basis you are giving them a head start in life and when they read the first book on their own you will be so proud because you taught them how to do that.

This day, 4 November 2008, is the USA President Election Day. Do you have Prediction who is the Winner at this USA President Election day? MR Obama or Mr. McCain? Personally I will choose Barrack Obama as USA President if I was US Citizen, How About you? And Have you Teach your your Kids to learn about this democracy party? If not, then this article below will inspiring you to start teach your kids about this Election day.

Teach Your Kids About Election Day
By P. Banas

As this interminable 2008 election whimpers on into the fall, our family has at least used it to teach a few civics lessons to our two young children.

The success of the first viable female and African-American candidates, of course, has been much bally-hooed for their significance. As adults, we appreciate what paradigm shifting events mean within the context of history.

Four years ago, when my daughter was only four, I asked her if she wanted to be President one day. She immediately responded, “That’s silly, daddy. Girls can’t be President.” It’s not that she isn’t exposed to strong women, but, on a media-savvy world, she had yet to see a woman running for President on TV or YouTube. For a parent, hearing your kids already slamming doors to possibilities at such an early age is an extremely painful thing. I immediately told her that everything was possible, though felt my arguments were weakened by the lack of empirical evidence that would convince a small child. We’ve talked a lot more since then about strong women leaders. We never miss the chance to point out a woman in a position of power.

As a consequence, I’ve been dealing with my daughter’s undying support of Hillary. If she were a bit older, she would be writing vicious letters to the editor complaining about the loss of her “girl-power” candidate. Like some other Democrat hold-outs, she still hasn’t decided whether she can let go of her passionate support for the “girl candidate” and shift her allegiance to Mr. Obama.

In our house, we’re addicted to political news and our kids know who we consider “idiots” and “bozos.” I’m very proud they can recognize several world leaders even in editorial page caricatures. They tend to remember the ones we mock and decry them most, however. A good resolution for us will be to teach them to recognize also the heroes in world affairs.

We all vote together as a family and this Election Day will be no different. In California, as in most states, you can take your kids right into the polling booth with you and they can see up close what citizenship is really like. I remember, as a child, thinking that voting would be one of the coolest things about being an adult. This wasn’t out of some precocious understanding of the workings of democracy. I had some notion that the big booth with the huge lever and sliding curtain was some kind of Rube Goldberg-style pinball machine and that there must be some mighty fine entertainment within the confines of that little room.

Voting in San Francisco is a bit more pedestrian: no booth and giant lever, but just an ordinary felt pen and long text paragraphs of indecipherable resolutions. Still, I bring the kids in with me and I’ll hoist the four year old on my shoulders so he can watch what I’m doing. He won’t understand too much of it, but that’s okay. Like a lot of parenting, the lesson will be in the doing. Good habits start young, and I’d like to believe that my kids, like me, will have a hard time skipping out on the joys of citizenship, like the simple act of voting.
