Fisher Price is one of the leading baby toy making companies in the world. They supply over 5 million baby toys a year, which is a substantial amount for a company. However recently a lot of people have been asking me are Fisher Price products safe. My friends know I have many of their products, yet they have heard bad things about them so I am going to tell you my experiences with Fisher Price.

I have 3 main fisher Price products. A highchair for my child, a bouncy chair and a game which I play regularly. I have owned the highchair for about 3 years. During that time, I have had to re screw in one screw, and that’s due to my child being hyper around mealtime and rocking back and forwards. Apart from that its treated me very well and has posed no problems. The very high chair I have, went through a lot of criticism once because people said they broke easily. I can tell you now after almost daily usage for around 3 years it is still working in fine condition.

The baby bouncer I have owned for a bout a year and a half. Again there had been a lot of criticism about this product saying that the support structure often gave way, and thus the baby hit the floor. I have had nothing but joy from this. Not only does it put my baby to sleep when he sits in it, he also enjoys being in it and playing with the toys that attach. I haven’t yet had a single fault with this product.

Although a small puzzle, still a good buy. Not along to go wrong with these I suppose, but it has done me well the last 10 years! Still all looking good and the picture has not peeled away from the actual pieces yet so that’s a good sign.

As you can see although only a small section of their products, I believe them to be safe for Our Babies as they are all very well made and have lasted me so long. I believe the media hype up all the bad points about Fisher Price and do not bring out the good points enough.

• Toy Safety – One of the most important things to consider while buying a toy is the safety of your child. Always keep in mind the safety of your child whenever you choose what toy you should purchase for your kid. Unfortunately, this is also the most unnoticed one. Generally, parents don’t check if the toy they select for their kids are safe.

• Is the baby toy a learning source? – It is a beneficial if the toy you select for your kid can help him in learning new skills.

And please keep in mind that the age difference between you and your kid is generally of twenty years. The fact that you wished a particular toy in your childhood doesn’t stand for that your child will need it too. Kids from different time periods enjoy different types of toys. Make sure you provide the toys to your child in the proper way!

When you give any toy to your kid, do not say “I bring your toy, now go in your room and have fun” style. If you do it this fashion, that toy will not be important to your child. Instead of that, try to make it a game. Hide the toy someplace where the child can find it, and boost him to search it. Express joy with your kid, look for it collectively… And when he finds the toy, do not just let him play alone. Stay engaged in your kids act. Parents are kids 1st and most trust worthy friend.
